Terms & Conditions for Aardling Events
This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for Events (conferences, seminars, training, webinars, socials...) organised by Aardling BV and its affiliates Aardling Belgium BV, Aardling Netherlands BV, Aardling France SAS (the "Organisers"). These terms apply to both online and in person Events.
Code of Conduct
By participating in our Events, you agree to the Code of Conduct, published at https://aardling.eu/en/coc.
Event Fee
The Event Fee includes attendance of the event, course materials, and access to software tools. For in-person events, lunch and light refreshments are included. The Event Fee does not include accommodation, meals, travel or any other expenses that may be incurred by delegates. The Event Fee will be as quoted on our site. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the prices are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Prices for our Services may change from time to time, but changes will not affect any order which we have confirmed with an Order Confirmation. Except as expressly stated, the price of any Services excludes VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable. However, if the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date of delivery, we will adjust the VAT you pay, unless you have already paid for the Services in full before the change in VAT takes effect. You can pay online, or by wire using the IBAN and BIC codes mentioned on our documents. Contact the Organisers if you wish to pay through other channels.
Payment Terms
The course fee is due for payment strictly 15 days from the invoice date, or prior to the event start date if that is sooner.
Tickets
Tickets for Events are always intended for a single person. Two or more delegates may not share a place at an Event. A ticket for a multiday Event can not be split across more than one delegate.
Substitutions and Cancellations by the Delegate
A qualified substitute may be enrolled in a delegate’s place provided we are notified in writing before the first day of the event. You may cancel or reschedule attendance of any public Event, but the Organisers will apply the following charges:
More than 30 days notice prior to Event start date: 10% of the Total Fee
15 - 30 days notice prior to Event start date: 50% of the Total Fee
0 - 14 days notice prior to Event start date: 100% of the Total Fee
If you have not paid the Event fee prior to cancelling, you are still liable for these charges.
Cancellations and Changes by the Organisers
The Organisers may change the location of the course, postpone the Event to a later date, or cancel the Event, for any reason. We will try to give our delegates as much advance notice as possible of any such change.
In such event, you will be given the choice to either receive a 100% refund of the prepaid Event fee, or use the prepaid Event fee as credit for booking another Event. Note that some courses may not be eligible for this due to third party agreements.
However, we will not be liable for any other costs incurred including (for example) travel charges or any consequential damages, even if we were advised of them.
Alterations to the Event Programme
It may become necessary for the Organisers to make alterations to the content, speakers, instructors, timing, venue, or date of the Event compared to the advertised programme. Unless the changes are substantial, they will not be grounds for a refund.
Your contact details
The Organisers will use the contact and delegate details you enter during the registration process to provide you with further details on this Event. The Organisers may also include you in our mailing list, which we use to contact you from time to time with information on our other events. You will always have the option to unsubscribe from this list. The Organisers will never give your details to a third party.
Limitation of our Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability. We will not be liable to You or any other person for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with: (a) use of, or inability to use, our Site or Services; or (b) use of or reliance on any content displayed on our Site. If You are a business user, we will also not be liable for: (a) loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue; (b) business interruption; (c) loss of anticipated savings; (d) loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or (e) any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
Applicability
The Organisers sometimes advertise workshops and courses that are organized by third parties. These Terms and Conditions only apply to courses or workshops organized by the Organisers.
General
These terms and conditions set out above represent a complete statement of the agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions, correspondence and representations. Our brochures and advertisements are for information purposes only and are not intended to form any agreement between the Organisers and the recipient. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice and changes will apply to any enrolment/event order received after the date of the change. These terms and conditions may not be varied except in a written agreement signed by an officer of the Organisers. The Organisers' acceptance of a purchase order containing different terms and conditions does not modify or supersede these terms and conditions. This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Belgian Law.
